Fifty Acres is proud to be a member of Comms Declare, an independent environmental group fighting for a climate-friendly future by harnessing the power of communications, marketing, media and advertising.

Comms Declare has recently celebrated its first anniversary as an organisation with over 300 members, including 66 organisations. The volunteer-led group encourages businesses and individuals in the communications industry to declare their commitment to working towards a safe climate.

Co-founded by news journalist Belinda Noble and communications professional Cally Jackson, Comms Declare urge communications professionals to avoid working with organisations that promote the growth of fossil fuels or treat high greenhouse gas pollution as ‘business as usual’.

Fifty Acres CEO and founder Jo Scard stated in an article on MarketingMag:

“Fifty Acres is a for-good agency and Australia’s first virtual communications and engagement agency, all staff work from home keeping our carbon emissions low and our costs down, which is a great dividend for not-for-profit clients, and the climate. Thanks Comms Declare for leading this campaign across our industry.”
