Scarlet Alliance

Scarlet Alliance is Australia’s national peak body representing sex workers, advocating for their rights, health, safety and the decriminalisation of sex work.

The opportunity was to strengthen engagement with federal decision-makers and ensure the experiences and perspectives of sex workers were represented in policy discussions affecting their communities.

Fifty Acres worked with Scarlet Alliance to deliver a strategic government and stakeholder engagement program, connecting its advocacy priorities with relevant federal policy discussions.

We identified opportunities to engage parliamentarians and key stakeholders, developed tailored briefings and coordinated meetings to advance evidence-based policy and decriminalisation. Our approach focused on building relationships with decision-makers and creating opportunities for Scarlet Alliance to contribute directly to policy conversations.

Our work strengthened Scarlet Alliance’s engagement with federal parliamentarians and key stakeholders, opening opportunities to advance discussions on sex workers’ rights, health and safety. Our work helped reinforce Scarlet Alliance’s position as a leading voice on evidence-based policy and ensure sex workers’ perspectives were represented in national policy discussions.
